Technical Writer and Editor
Key Role:

Edit and proofread highly complex and specialized te chn ical documents prepared by writers, including manuals, procedures, and specifications. Maintain responsibility for following material and production through the stages of publishing, including layout and formatting by interfacing with te chn ical writers, ill us trators, and word processors to ensure the final product meets all requirements and specifications. Analyze the development of department editing standards and styles and the interpretation of complex government standards. Provide work leadership to junior employees, as needed. Research, write, edit, and proofread te chn ical data for us e in vario us type of te chn ical documents. Ensure te chn ical documentation is accurate and complete, meets editorial and government specifications, and adheres to standards for quality, graphics, coverage, format, and style. Assist with establishing style guidelines and standard for texts and ill us trations.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with te chn ical writing and editing in the Cyber operations field, including promotional materials, graphics, photographic or layout support, training materials, and presentations, social media, and writing te chn ical documentation, procedures, and guidelines for systems and development

-Experience with briefing senior military and civilian personnel

-Knowledge of Navy Cyber operations

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-AA or AS degree and 8+ years of editing and te chn ical writing experience in a professional work environment or BA or BS degree
