About The Career Opportunity:

We are currently looking for an Experienced Information Systems Network Engineer who will identify and implement improvements in order to automate Credit Union operational processes.  The professional will install, configure, operate, and maintain our server hardware, network devices, software, and operating systems.  Additionally, they will provide Tier 3 Help Desk support while mentoring and offering support to other IS team members.  The Systems Network Engineer provides a variety of support duties related to the infrastructure functions, including the coordination of infrastructure projects, documenting technical requirements, facilitating design sessions and architectural reviews, and participating in technical advisory roles, all in accordance with Educational Systems FCU policies and procedures and in compliance with all Federal, State, NCUA and other regulatory agencies rules and regulations.  The individual will also design, maintain, and test the Credit Union's Disaster Recovery infrastructure as well as supporting servers and the Storage Area Networking (SAN) infrastructure, which may include after-hours support.

Position has flexibility to be based out of our Rockville, Bowie, or Germantown, MD offices.

Position Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent, (GED) is required.  Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is a plus. Minimum of five years Windows server and network infrastructure support experience is required.  Must have in-depth knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, FTP, SIP and IP routing.  Experience with Virtual Desktop solutions required. Citrix experience is a plus.  PowerShell scripting experience is a plus.  Industry certifications (such as MCSE, CCNA, VCP) are a plus.  Position may require after-hours support.
