ITI's diverse membership and expert staff provide a broad perspective and intelligent insight in confronting the implications and opportunities of policy activities around the world.As the Senior Manager, Policy for Regulatory Compliance reporting to the Senior Director, Policy for Sustainability and Product Regulatory, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of product regulatory compliance issues, including safety, security, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). You will undertake direct policy advocacy with government officials and other policymakers in key markets, such as the United States, Europe, India, China and Brazil and be adept at building strategic relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including industry associations and civil advocacy organizations. You will be an enthusiastic self-starter and a collaborative colleague who is comfortable working with multiple teams at ITI and communicating effectively with diverse representatives from ITI's companies, including executives, government affairs professionals, sales people, and engineers. You will be responsible for: Monitoring, developing, and executing strategic and tactical approaches to policy and regulatory developments on issues within the scope of ITI's Sustainability and Product Regulatory group across multiple jurisdictions.Leading ITI's work on non-environmental regulatory compliance issues, serving as coordinator for ITI's Regulatory Policy Committee (and its subcommittees) and representing ITI members in advocacy on specific issues - such as safety, security, and EMC - around the world.Driving the development of policy positions and advocacy on product regulations, international and domestic product technical standards and compliance issues to ensure market access and prevent or resolve technical barriers to trade.Providing thought leadership for committees composed of senior global compliance managers, technical experts, and regional networks of company representatives in the Asia Pacific; Latin America; and Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions.Translating technical issues in areas such as product safety, EMC, and telecom requirements into member-driven policy goals.Promoting adoption of good regulatory practices in technical standards and conformity assessment (eg, product testing and certification) for national requirements and through international fora such as the World Trade Organization (WTO).Contributing as appropriate to ITI's work on product regulatory compliance issues in the areas of environment, sustainability, and accessibility.Serving as an industry expert and resource for US and other global regulators, trade officials, standards bodies, and other NGOs.Working closely with colleagues from the ITI Policy team, other ITI teams, and ITI member companies to anticipate emerging trends and craft responsive strategies in relation to product regulatory compliance issues. Your qualifications:Bachelor's degree; advanced degree in international relations, public policy, law, business, or a related field preferred.A minimum of three years' work experience on relevant policy issues, preferably in a trade association, business, advocacy or government setting. Prior information and communications technology (ICT) experience a plus.Experience working on the product regulatory issues identified above, whether or not in the ICT context.A good network of relationships in the ICT policy community in the United States and other global markets, including relationships with key government stakeholders for this issue portfolio.Ability to quickly understand, digest and communicate complex policy concepts to ITI colleagues, company representatives and policymaker audiences.Experience in government affairs and public policy, including industry affairs and coalition building.
