Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following Assemble hardware Build, install, configure, support, and troubleshoot Windows 200320082012 Server systems in a mixed workgroup and Active Directory environment Monitor Windows servers performance Maintain DPS network infrastructure Perform routine maintenance (eg, Windows OS patches, server hardware replacement, and daily system backup) Create, add, or remove storage tofrom Storage Array Network, Network Attached Storage or Direct Attached Storage Document problems and solutions in detail Manage the server, roles, functionality Enable remote administration, group policies, Windows Remote Management, Windows Firewall, Server Manager groups, etc. Manage local and remote servers Develop scripts via PowerShell Build security policies and documenting server security Audit the server, diagnosing security issues, creating audit trails Assess workloads and balancing applications and server roles Reconfigure the operating system Monitor server performance Detect and resolve performance concerns Recover from boot process failures Manage system recovery Repair key Windows components (registry, service accounts, privileges, drivers, solving network issues) Prepare and implementing Hyper-V Environment Build, optimize, relocatemigrate Virtual Machines including live migrations and, Ensure application availability (eg, eliminating single points of failure failover clusters).
