"Candidates local to DC Area should apply" Overview The client is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst II to perform security-related analysis work in support of information security initiatives Job Responsibilities Work on multiple information security-related projects as a project team member Work with security engineers to gather and analyze network-related data Generate network-related data reports in a proscribed format Work with technology platform owners, security architects and security engineers to develop secure configuration baselines (hardening standards) for various technology platforms Analyze data related to compliance with established system hardening standards and generate compliance reports Experience Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer scienceengineering or related field, or equivalent work experience required. Master s degree in a related field is a plus. 2-4 years overall IT Security experience required, with at least some of that experience being information security-related One or more information security-related certifications (Security+, CISSP, CCSP, AWS, GIAC, CEH) (required) Data gathering, analysis and visual presentation experience required using tools such as Excel (required) andor Tableau (a plus) Familiarity with information security-related controls, and ability to use that knowledge to assess cyber risks (required) Familiarity with networking concepts (in-depth network experience not required) Understanding of application architecture and supporting components (required) Prior experience developing or implementing secure configuration baselines (ie system hardening standards) for various platforms, - or - prior systems administration experience (one of these two required) Strong interpersonal and communication skills needed for developing relationships with individuals and teams across the enterprise, and to communicate with individuals with differing levels of technical knowledge (required) Manager Said Possibility of Remote once fully aware about the role and responsibilities Video WebEx and In-Person and 2nd Video WebEx for non-locals Cyber Security Analyst will be working with Security related data to format reports useful to teams implement security initiatives This needs a lot to do the Data Analysis and Reporting.
