Base location : Connecticut, Maryland, or New York Travel : Moderate travel (approximately 10-20% travel) Ascension is looking for business technology leaders who have experience helping customers solve large-scale problems with technology. As the Market Technology Officer for Connecticut, DC, Maryland, New York, and Senior Living you will be responsible for counseling the executive leaders of the market on technology, leading a team of business technology associates to understand the market's real needs, helping translate and convey those needs to the technology organization, and orchestrating delivery through to a high standard and customer satisfaction. You will be the conduit to bring the full breadth of Ascension's technology capabilities to our internal customers within your market Responsibilities: Develop a deep understanding of the market's way of working plus the larger external competitive landscape which will influence strategy Be the executive point person for delivering all market technology needs Shape and influence the market's vision for using technology Actively partner with business in ideation, disciplined demand management and portfolio prioritization within the market Be an advocate for market needs through the integrated technology governance process Drive a rigorous and standard process to understand requirements and business cases which include a clear articulation of anticipated and measurable business returns Understand Ascension's technology capabilities and constraints to deliver on business needs Identify creative opportunities for technology to help improve business results and thereby promote new solutions, processes and workflows Initiate and leads teams through change by communicating a compelling case for change Manage a cross-functional set of resources (from solution architects to field services personnel) to ensure local and market-specific systems stay up to date Develop and sustain strong relationships with market executives in order to be a consultative partner on all technology topics and articulate short and long term operational implications and trade-offs on technology decisions Develop strong relationship with senior leaders of national technology team and identify opportunities to improve people, process and technology approaches Qualifications: 5+ years managing large accounts of complex organizations, preferably healthcare, for a technology development and services company, or 10+ years leading technology delivery for a complex organization or business unit Track record of successfully working with customers to implement large-scale, complex technology systems (eg, EHR, ERP platform) within their environment, minimizing disruption to business/clinical processes Deep, intuitive understanding of technology trends and capabilities across commercial systems, digital technologies, analytics, design, etc, Experience leading cross-functional teams including engineers/software developers, and service personnel Exceptional interpersonal skills and a record of building trust-based relationships with senior business leaders, counseling them on broad ranging technology-related topics; ability to build demand roadmaps and communicate priorities to central technology organizations Demonstrated ability to navigate complex organizations and build consensus on priorities A track record of people leadership, known for hiring, leading, and grooming high performance teams Demonstrated metrics-driven approach to IT delivery and experience developing of technology business cases What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: Required Credential(s): None required.
