The success of Friendship Public Charter School is driven largely by the success of its staff. That said, the Chief People Officer (CPO) is a critical member of Friendship's top leadership team. As the lead strategist and executor of the Friendship Public Charter School's talent recruitment, acquisition and management program, the CPO develops, implements, and aligns HR programs with overarching organizational goals and objectives. This individual also serves as a strategic partner to the senior management team while leading the HR team to support employees in their day-to-day HR needs.. You are both a strategic and tactical expert who relishes the opportunity to build capacity within an expanding organization. You understand education and non-profit, mission-driven organizations. You value staff and are committed to ensuring they receive excellent support. You thrive in a dynamic environment and have the ability to work on various projects simultaneously, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. You are experienced in leading organizational design, professional coaching and development and implementation of professional learning and development programs for all staff members including leaders. You have been successful in implementing organizational redesign that enabled the organization to scale and/or implementation of a progressive talent management strategy. You have the ability to develop strong, trusting relationships within your department and organization. You are also knowledgeable of human resources operations and support and can lead the team to provide excellent customer service in support of all staff. Proven success in managing organizational resources in line with budget.. The CPO will be responsible for developing the HR strategy and leading a team of individuals in contributing to Friendship's strategic plan. This individual also will lead the following:. Development of workforce plans and programs that align with the organization's overall strategic objectives.. Forecast of talent needs and acquisition of aligned, high quality talent.. Analysis of workforce professional and career development needs to create and identify resources to execute employee orientation, education, and training and management development.. Contribution to overarching organizational strategic plan.. Development and implementation of HR policies.. Leadership of HR staff to ensure compliance with employee and labor relations, affirmative action compliance, policies and procedures, workers compensation administration, wage and salary administration, benefits administration, organization development, and employee assistance.. A minimum of 3 years of experience at senior or top management level in an organization, preferably in a growing charter school organization or educational non-profit. Bachelor's degree from any reputed and government recognized University/Institute (graduate degree preferred). Outstanding interpersonal, coaching and listening skills with the ability to communicate within all levels of the organization. Proven ability to remain objective, discrete and exercise common sense at all times.
