Job Announcement

Under general supervision of the Logistics Director, coordinates and oversees agency wide operations of vehicle fleet management, telecommunication devices, equipment procurement and leases, client emergency resources, customer relations and courier services. Participates in the planning and design of automated technology applications and information systems requirements for data collection and maintenance. Develops, implements and manages multiple agency wide resource databases. Prepares narrative and statistical reports including recommendations for changes or enhancements to improve efficiency and effectiveness of management/administrative services. Designs collection tools and databases using a variety of software. Compiles data from manual and automated system reports; revises forms and formats as needed. Presents reports, verbally and in writing, on programmatic and fiscal trends to be used in program planning. Supervises, reviews the work, and provides technical advice and guidance to logistics managers across regional offices. Ensures consistent quality assurance and customer satisfaction standards for operations services provided for regional field offices. Participates on inter- and intra-agency teams that evaluate and develop processes and procedural improvements for agency wide policies, practices and operations.

Note: The assigned functional areas of this position are: logistics, data management/statistical analysis, quality assurance.

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Any combination of education, experience, and training equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a bachelor's degree in the field related to the assigned functional area; plus two years of professional work experience within the functional area.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
  • Driver's license at the time of application (required upon hire).
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background, a check of the child protective services registry and a driving record check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • General knowledge of Human Services operations.
  • Demonstrated research and analytical skills.
  • Experience with vehicle fleet management, telecommunication devices and procurement.
  • Experience with designing data collection tools and automating processes.
  • Experience with making presentations to senior level managers and directors.
  • Ability to manage staff at off-site locations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to operate computer and telephone, light lifting may be required. Must be able to drive a vehicle to County garages and to regional facilities for supervision. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. All duties may be performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
