AMSI is seeking a mechanical superintendent to manage commercial HVAC construction projects with a contract value of $1M+. Types of projects include new build and renovation in the following sectors: multi-family residential, commercial office, hospitality, public and private education, tenant fit-outs and other specialty projects. Job Responsibilities:From preconstruction planning to final punch out and commissioning, ensure that the job is delivered on-time and under budget.With assistance from your project management team, accurately account for labor, material, equipment, subcontractors, and other costs throughout the duration of your project.Understand AMSI's scope of work, and deteremine change orders arise. Work with PM team to price the cost of change orders. Write, submit and track RFI's in the field.Oversee field coordination with the architect, engineer, GC, and other trades in a professional manner.Coordinate labor needs with AMSI and directly with subcontractors throughout the duration of each project.Keep excellent daily progress reports.Develop, maintain and strengthen relationships with key owners, developers, architects, engineers and general contractors.Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing with all member of the construction team. Education, Experience & Certifications:Strong experience and knowledge of commercial HVAC systems including duct work, piping systems, building exhaust.Knowledge of typical HVAC equpment and how it is properly installed - exhaust fans, heaters, split-systems, VRF, RTUs, DOAS, kitchen equipment (KEF and MAU), etc.Strong knowledge of building materials, engineering standards, and mechanical codes.Strong experience with and understanding of engineered MEP drawings and specifications.Strong background in onsite construction management, specifically the following processes: submittals, RFIs, change orders, construction schedules, phasing, punch lists, and more.Detail oriented and deadline-driven.Experience with Pro Core or other app-based project management program a plus.Team management and leadership skills; able to manage relationships with a positive and professional attitude. Manage expectations and delivery goals every step of the way.Ability to think creatively and solve problems.Maintain a high energy level to handle a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven work load in a competitive construction market.
