Responsibilities

  • Evaluate all facility components to ensure compliance with applicable standards or regulatory guidance.
  • Determine operating requirements to accomplish program effectiveness.
  • Assist District Chief of Logistics with transportation, Logistics or food services requirements locally.
  • Develop a budget to support the assigned facilities operations.
  • Gather data from automated systems to evaluate budget recommendations.
  • Prepare documentation for contracting officer to enforce the contract.
  • Verify funds are being appropriately allocated based on data gathered from software systems or site visits.
  • Assign employees workload based on priorities and difficulty of assignments.
  • Evaluate employees? performance to provide constructive feedback.
  • Supervise/Manage All Facility Operations to include Facility Maintenance, Custodial Services and Grounds Maintenance Services.
  • Participate in Environmental, Energy Management and other Programs related to Facilities

  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.

  • This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
  • This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employees may be required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing facility operations programs, such as, facility management, facility maintenance, custodial services and grounds maintenance; advising staff on facility conditions; assisting budget personnel to ensure adequate funding; and resolving inquiries to support the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted
