Implements and evaluates Membership acquisition, engagement and retention marketing activities to meet the goals of the ANA and to maximize member growth and dues revenue opportunities. 

DUTIES: 

1. Provides expert implementation of traditional and digital membership acquisition, engagement and retention marketing campaigns to meet program goals and to maximize revenue. Responsible for all aspects of planning, writing, coordinating graphics, and distribution of a wide variety of promotional and support materials for all member campaigns. Assists with development and planning of membership marketing strategy, plans, and tactics for assigned programs and products.

2. Identifies, establishes and maintains contacts and effective relationships with membership team staff as well as external individuals and agencies.

3. Monitors and tracks budgets for membership marketing campaigns. Assists with preparation of membership departmental budgets (correlating response rates and revenue projections). Controls expenditure in assigned budget areas.

4. Evaluates the effectiveness of membership marketing strategies. Implements systems for tracking results of activities. Monitors internal and external activities to achieve maximum impact from campaigns. Utilizes current market intelligence, new methodologies, best practices, and industry research to maximize campaign effectiveness. Implements changes in marketing strategies based upon results analysis, strategic objectives, and best practices.

5. Develops and maintains expert knowledge of membership acquisition, engagement and retention efforts. Identifies emerging marketing and revenue enhancement opportunities. Identifies synergies to promote better integration of marketing activities across all program areas.

6. Assists with departmental administrative responsibilities and special projects (may include financial and shipping requests). (10%) 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED 

Education:  

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent relevant work experience required, preferably in advertising, marketing, English, or communications. 

Related Work Experience:  

Minimum of two years, with most recent work experience consumer or member marketing or communications. Association or marketing agency experience preferred. Healthcare or nursing professional knowledge a plus. 

Skills:  

· Specialized knowledge of marketing campaign development and execution in multiple channels, including email, online/mobile, and direct mail,  

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office software 

· Exceptional project management skills and organization 

· Strong writing ability 

· Working knowledge of advertising, promotion, and digital communications, including working with designers and agencies 

· Strong work ethic and positive attitude 

· Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and administrative support
