RCS has an immediate need for a GIS Technician in Baltimore, MD. This is a contract-to-direct hire assignment with anticipated direct hire employment after 6 months. What You Are Accountable ForThis position is responsible for updating and enhancing customer Geographic Information Systems (GIS). This includes entering new data in existing GIS programs and modifying existing data such as land base information and customer facilities. This position works under immediate supervision and relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the work. Primary Responsibilities Entering new data in customer GIS programs. Modifying existing data in customer GIS programs. Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as necessary. GIS certification, Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in GIS related discipline, or equivalent work experience. Working knowledge of basic software programs. Strong work ethic with desire to work in a production environment. Authorization to work in the US without restriction. Preferred Prior experience utilizing GIS software in the utility or pipeline industry. Knowledge of CADD.
