The Digital Marketing Manager is a digital communications professional responsible for bringing a full spectrum of creative digital marketing capabilities to the Maryland Food Bank (MFB). The person will develop and execute online strategies that drive revenue and strengthen relationships with Maryland Food Bank supporters, build brand equity, and engage and inspire key audiences.Major ResponsibilitiesUsing tools like email, social media, lead generation, search marketing, and online advertising, the Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for:Developing innovative digital marketing strategies using paid and organic techniques to increase brand awareness, drive traffic to our website, acquire leads, and convert leads to donorsLeading the content strategy for MFB's social media channels, marketing automation tools, as well as digital advertising campaigns and oversee implementationDeveloping best practices for the MFB's website, focusing on SEO and conversionsOverseeing the marketing and business strategy, as well as high-level project management, of the MFB's cloud-based SaaS product (Fenly)Identifying and developing an effective communication strategy for segments of the Maryland Food Bank's target audience across digital channelsEffectively integrating fundraising and marketing campaigns into the digital conversationOverseeing digital publishing planning, including the creation and maintenance of calendarsDesigning and implementing A/B tests to optimize conversionsAnalyzing datasets across platforms and providing recommendations to drive growthProducing regular reports to highlight digital response and to analyze and improve performance of online channelsIdentifying new technologies, social networks, tools, and digital strategies to improve the food bank's marketing effortsThe Digital Marketing Manager is part of MFB's External Affairs team and will work collaboratively with the creative team, communications, philanthropy, donor services, and external vendors. Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesTo be successful in this position a candidate will need the following: Commitment to the mission and values of the Maryland Food Bank. At least four years of experience in digital marketing or related fields. Practical knowledge of current and evolving trends in the digital and social marketing spaceKnowledge of direct marketing techniques, online technology, and current eventsKnowledge of CRMs, marketing automation tools, content management systems (WordPress), analytics platforms (Google Analytics), web-based publishing tools, and content scheduling toolsAn understanding of conversion rate optimization and how to apply it across digital channels. Experience developing an SEO strategy to increase website traffic. Excellent oral and written communication are mandatory. Digital campaign samples are requiredAbility to design, implement and direct multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to navigate between short term and more complex, longer-term assignmentsFamiliarity with how to grow an early-stage startup business preferredBA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or JournalismA collaborative, customer-service approach is essentialDemonstrated ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, other MFB staff, and the publicSEND COVER LETTER AND 2-3 DIGITAL CAMPAIGN SAMPLES WITH RESUME.
