RedLine Performance Solutions (RedLine) has been in the HPC solutions engineering services business for approximately 20 years and is consistently determined to keep the "bar of excellence" quite high for new hires. This enables RedLine to accomplish what other firms cannot and promotes a high level of staff retention. We offer services ranging from full life cycle HPC systems engineering to remote managed services to HPC program analysis. We are located in the Washington, DC area and are looking for a HPC Engineer to join us. We have a team of HPC Engineers who design, implement, upgrade, optimize, and support a wide range of HPC solutions from a variety of HPC vendors. This team focuses on HPC systems-level work across a variety of commercial and Federal customers. Although we have strong relationships with HPC vendors, one of our corporate discriminators is we have enough expertise and experience to be vendor agnostic to best meet our customers' unique requirements. The work is tremendously interesting with no end to the learning curve. The HPC System Engineer to provide system administration support of the Army Research Lab (ARL) DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC) Artificial Intelligence (AI)Machine Learning (ML) cluster. US citizenship and an DOD Top Secret clearance is a requirement to apply. The work location is at Army Research Lab (ARL) site in Aberdeen, MD. Preference is for local candidates, but we will consider relocation as well. Required Skills 8 or more years of Linux systems administration 4 or more years of HPC system administration engineering experience (eg, parallel file systems, cluster management, job schedulers, archival systems) Strong knowledge of TCPIP networking Strong verbal and written communication skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred Experience with shell scripting such as Bash, Ksh, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc. Travel required Minimal
