This position is open to candidates of all locations 3-5 years of related experience Splunk Dashboard development / Analytics Hadoop / Big Data Job Summary /ResponsibilitiesThe software developer will be a member of a performance engineering team and participate in the design and development of network and service performance monitoring tools and dashboards for an international IP/MPLS network. The position includes participation in the design, development and implementation of near real-time data collection, mediation and presentation systems. Initial focus leverages Splunk, KV Stores and Hadoop for data analysis and near real-time performance dashboards with automated alerts for alarming and ticketing. The position also includes close partnership and collaboration with the user community including Operations, Provisioning, Engineering and Repair teams in an agile, iterative development environment.RequirementsRequired Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Related Field. 3-5 years of experience with Splunk data analytics and dashboard development Knowledge of data processing architectures with structured and unstructured data. Willingness to adapt and learn in a rapidly evolving environment.Supplemental Qualifications And Skills Of Interest Relational database experience in addition to expertise in Splunk Knowledge of TCP/IP routing, Ethernet switched networks Working knowledge of monitoring protocols (TWAMP, Ethernet OAM, Y.1731, Y.1564) Experience with active probes (eg EXFO and Corvil) and Smart NIDs (eg Accedian & RAD) Experience with Hadoop, MapReduce, HDFS components and Machine Learning Programming experience with bash, perl, python and html.
