Must be authorized to work without sponsorship - will not accept visa candidates The candidate will join the firm's emerging data technology area as a Solution Architect and Head of Cloud responsible for the architecture, engineering, design and implementation of AWS and related cloud technologies that support the big data analytics platform roadmap. This person will provide big picture thinking, innovation, strategy and planning in collaboration with other technical leads and business partners. The role also requires the ability and willingness to be hands-on with the technology when needed. Qualifications Experience managing large, complex projects in a high-tech development environment with multi-functional teams Strong technical backgroundsubject matter expertise and experience as a Cloud Architect Expertise with AWS technology stack and deployment (Docker, Jenkins, Lambda, etc.) Have developed systems based on key principles (consistency and availability, liveness and safety, durability, reliability, fault-tolerance, consensus algorithms) Strong solution delivery experience building and managing data pipelines on On-Premise and AWS Cloud data platforms Prior experience in migrating on premise data platforms implementation to a cloud-based implementation Desired Experience Working in a big data environment - Hortonworks or Cloudera Hadoop ecosystem Familiarity with Hive, Zookeeper, HBASE, Spark, HDFS, Apache Ranger, etc. Working with data streaming technologies (Kineses, Kafka etc.) Columnar and NoSQL database technology
