Our NC Clent is hiring a sales professional that thrives in an entrepreneurial environment and wants to make a direct impact and to support their new customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives for a new innovative event management platform. The ideal candidate should have software platform, SaaS, or other technical sales experience. Previous experience selling to marketing leadership would be great and exposure to trade shows and/or other large-scale events. You must be comfortable selling within all sizes of organizations, demonstrate constant professionalism, and be an excellent communicator. You must have the ability to function independently, while also contributing to team initiatives. You will identify, research and generate a pipeline of qualified prospects. This software startup spun out of it's global privately owned parent company that has been in business for over 100 years and has 40 locations in 17 countries. Location: Durham, NC or Remote Responsibilities: Prospect, develop and close sales opportunities through multiple channels. Cultivate strong relationships with prospective customers. Provide product presentations and demos in-person and remotely. Find, qualify and develop new opportunities by understanding and interpreting the needs and technical requirements of prospective customers. Record, update and maintain opportunities in HubSpot. Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales goals. Collaborate with the VP of Marketing on sales content creation and sales enablement strategy. Communicate with Customer Success, Product, Development, and Marketing teams regularly. Identify product enhancement requirements, and convey these requirements to Product Management and Client Service teams. Provide KPI and sales target reports to management on a regular basis. Qualifications: College degree required. 5 years of proven sales experience with SaaS software - preferably in the trade show or event management software industry. Experience selling to Marketing Leadership highly preferred. Strong presentation skills (both on the phone and in-person). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented, articulate and strong ability to multi-task. Proficient with corporate web presentation tools and CRM systems, including HubSpot. Desire to develop relationships through the creation of sales leads, initiation of calls, and establishment of rapport. Empathetic with demonstrated ability to build customer relationships. Relevant experience managing trade shows, corporate meetings, or other large-scale events is a plus. High level of integrity and ethics with a strong business acumen.
