Maintains equipment used in therapy interventions.Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.Completes non-clinical and clerical tasks as assigned.Other duties as assigned.Maintains and monitors daily patient schedule, demonstrating initiative to confer with therapists for schedule changes and to make non-clinical prioritization judgments.Independently demonstrates awareness of patient treatment needs. Assists patients in transfers as directed by the therapist or with nursing supervision when on nursing unit. Assists patient to dress/undress and to position themselves in preparation for and following therapy treatment.May contribute to daily operations by developing advanced skill/competency to assist therapist in one or more of the following areas: hearing screening of infants, inventory, gym transport, pulsatile lavage, lymphedema management, data collection, and quality improvement.Performs exercise with patients after instruction by therapist. Demonstrates correct body position and proper use of equipment to prevent injury, instructs patients in proper alignment and in maintaining work load to meet exercise prescription. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration:Required Credential(s): Certified BLS Provider specializing in Health Service Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or military CPR-First Aid training.Education:HS or Equivalent Required: High school diploma or equivalentPreferred: Bachelor Level DegreeWork Experience:Required: No experience.
