Join the team! This position is located in the Office of Information and Technology (EXIT). EXIT is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, coordinating and controlling the Information Technology and Administrative support services program for the Agency.

Responsibilities

The incumbent is responsible for a wide range of Information Technology (IT) management activities in support of the Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) and Project Management Program. This would include supporting the Program Manager in planning, managing, and executing the IT budget and the portfolio of IT Projects. Specifically, the incumbent will develop, maintain, and track program budgets; serve as a Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) for IT services, equipment and other purchases; apply OMB, government-wide, and agency guidance in completing tasks; and respond to data calls related to the IT budget and portfolio.

Probationary/Trial Period Information: Depending on your status, this position may require serving a 1-year probationary period.

Qualifications

In addition to the mandatory education requirement, all applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

GS-09: 1) Experience in coordinating with internal and external stakeholders including peers and management officials; 2) Analyzing data and determining the accuracy and relevance of information; and 3) Presenting information in concise terms to technical and non-technical audiences.

GS-11: 1) Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders including peers and management officials; 2) Managing acquisitions including negotiating with vendors, and monitoring contract performance; 3) Analyzing data and determining the accuracy and relevance of information and making recommendations; 4) Developing budgets and tracking expenditures; and 5) Presenting information in concise terms to technical and non-technical audiences.
