Salary Range for Arlington, VA: $117,191.00 - $152,352.00

Responsibilities

  • You will identify trends and opportunities to improve operational efficiency or customer satisfaction by assisting in the analysis or workload data and metrics.
  • You will track metrics or performance indicators to assess production process efficiency.
  • You will analyze data collected and prepare reports to make preliminary conclusions.
  • You will coordinate research efforts aimed at supplying long-term solutions to organizational problems and issues.
  • You will analyze individual, team, and organizational work and work environments identifying causal factors to promote positive behaviors and prevent adverse outcomes.
  • You will oversee and coordinate analysis to identify sources for problems facing an organization and maintain situational awareness on current issues and human factors and usability trends that could impact future workforce and operational readiness.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • The work is primarily sedentary, but may require some physical exertion such as long periods of walking or standing. Physical demands are typical of those found in an office setting.
  • Work is primarily performed in an office setting, but travel by commercial air will be required to execute some responsibilities. Data collection aboard US Navy Vessel may be required, thus some work could be performed in an industrial environment.


Qualifications

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develop solutions to human factor issues in an organization; 2) Develop policies for implementation of guidance on human factors research; 3) Review algorithms and predictive models to solve human factor problems; and 4) Construct human factors plans to define analysis and research efforts.
