Responsibilities

  • Conduct formal reviews of policies, plans and programs for the Army National Guard Chief of Staff Office (ARNG-CSO).
  • Analyze industry standards for measuring/applying metrics to programs, products, and services.
  • Provide technical expertise in the development of short, mid and long range plans to align business and data analytics.
  • Maintain mastery of the Army National Guard (ARNG) viewpoints to represent the organization in formal meetings and engagements.
  • Develop a modern data architecture/infrastructure and data analytics/machine learning program for the ARNG.

Experience required: To qualify based on your work experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: evaluate data architecture/infrastructure and operations to develop steps for modernization; establish and maintain inter-agency organizational relationships to effectively leverage analytics across the industry; lead cross-functional teams to solve complex problems utilizing tools such as data mining, trend analysis, predictive modeling, and advanced statistical analysis; integrate the organization's strategic plans, mission and values into the team's goals and objectives; and represent the organization in formal meetings and engagements with high level officials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).

  • This position is a term position and may be extended in one year increments up to a maximum of eight (8) years. The first NTE date will be 13 months, any other extension will be in one year increments.
  • This position may be converted to permanent career or career-conditional appointment without further competition as long as all requirements are met. To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
  • You will be required to sign a MOU (Memorandum of understanding) for the conditions of the TERM appointment.
  • First NTE date will be 13 months, any other extension will be in one year increments.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.
