Freddie Mac Single Family division is seeking a Servicing Portfolio Analytics Senior to develop, implement the methods and tools of assessing Freddie Mac portfolio servicing performance. The team is looking for a highly motivated analyst passionate about data and applying quantitative methods to business questions.

Your work falls into three primary categories:

Develop, improve and implement quantitative tools
  • Combine business understanding and quantitative methods to develop and enhance portfolio performance valuation processes, measurement metrics and analytical tools used to assess and monitor the performance of mortgage portfolio.

Credit risk and benefit valuation
  • Develop analytics to value the risk, benefits and cashflow associated with portfolio performance and policy
  • Validate financial models of mortgage cash flow and performance

Ad hoc analytics and reports
  • Perform hands-on analysis on a large quantity of complicated data from many sources with significant variability to discover business logic and make business proposals to the management team
  • Apply economic theories and business intuition to discover the causality and effects from complicated logics between variables in massive data to support business decisions


  • Bachelor degree in physics, applied mathematics, economics or related quantitative discipline
  • Typically 5+ years of experience with focus on quantitative finance or economics research
  • Strong data and financial analytical skills
  • Experience working with large data sets
  • Experience with UNIX Scripting and strong programming skills with R, Python and SQL
