The Officer I, Donor Engagement and Recognitionplans and executes dynamic donor-centered activities that build meaningful connections between Catholic Relief Services and its top private donors. These efforts are implemented within the Leadership Giving department with oversight from the Sr. Manager for Donor Recognition and the Director of Donor Relations. In alignment with Charitable Giving's strategic plan and the CRS Targeted Leadership Campaign, this position will work to deepen donors' relationships with CRS and its mission. The Officer I position provides important support and backstops in the coordination of VIP Donor Trips and Overseas staff travel to the United States to meet with Leadership Giving donors. CRS' relief and development work is accomplished through programs of emergency response, HIV, health, agriculture, education, microfinance and peacebuilding Job Description Summary The Officer I, Donor Engagement and Recognitionplans and executes dynamic donor-centered activities that build meaningful connections between Catholic Relief Services and its top private donors. These efforts are implemented within the Leadership Giving department with oversight from the Sr. Manager for Donor Recognition and the Director of Donor Relations. In alignment with Charitable Giving's strategic plan and the CRS Targeted Leadership Campaign, this position will work to deepen donors' relationships with CRS and its mission. The Officer I position provides important support and backstops in the coordination of VIP Donor Trips and Overseas staff travel to the United States to meet with Leadership Giving donors. Duties and Responsibilities Events: Assist with planning and implementation of all Leadership Giving donor events designed to more deeply engage supporters in CRS' strategic vision and priorities, including: Ambassadors of Hope Awards dinner; Vision Events and other Leadership Giving Campaign events. With the Campaign Director and the Senior Director of Development as appropriate, coordinate the design, production and distribution of event materials, including invitations, briefing books and promotional materials. Manage responses for all events and provide regular updates to key Charitable Giving staff. Work with all event vendors (AV, caterers, photographers) to ensure seamless run-of-show. Provide back-up support for Foundation Board meetings. Provide post-event data evaluations to key staff. Travel: In collaboration with Overseas Operations and Leadership Giving staff (eg Officer II for Donor Engagement & Events and the Senior Director of Development), assist in the coordination efforts for donors to visit CRS programs overseas as designated. Coordinate with CRS Country Program staff to ensure all logistics including pre/post travel, on-site events, briefing books etc. are well planned and managed with timely communication to the donors traveling. Assist in assessing the impact and return on investment of CRS donor trips, events and OverOps engagement tours on philanthropy Leadership Giving. Assist with logistical support as overseas staff visit Leadership Giving donors. Donor Recognition: In coordination with the Officer II for Donor Recognition, assist with creation and implementation of Individualized Stewardship Plans for Leadership Giving and Principal Giving donors. Support updating the internal Donor Relations SharePoint site to include overall Communications plan and donor updates. Other duties as assigned. ? This Officer reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Donor Recognition, and does not have supervisory responsibilities. The position works closely with the Officer II for Donor Engagement & Events, the Officer II for Donor Recognition, the Director of Donor Relations, the Foundation Board Liaison, the Leadership Giving Campaign Director, Analytics Unit and the Content Unit. The position also has collaborative relationships with the Executive Vice President for Charitable Giving, the VP for Leadership Giving, the Sr. Director of Development, Overseas Operations, Mission and Mobilization, and the Office of the President. Basic Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization is required. Three years of event/meeting planning is required. Fundraising and/or non-profit experience especially with leadership donors and executives desired. Experience with donor relations, donor tracking systems or prior experience with client management is desired.
