Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldSenior ParalegalFollowing established guidelines, gathers, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys and/or other office professionals in preparation of memoranda and other legal documents.Review documents, cross-check information.Enter data into computerized systems, update databases and spreadsheets.Obtain documents from paper and electronic files.Assist with responding to information sharing requests.Perform document review and research and summarize findings.Draft and edit internal and external documents and/or correspondence.Assist with document productions.Maintain, organize and file office records and documents.Performs initial compilation of documents for FOIA or production requests, subject to review by superiors and staff.Assist in preparation of internal reports.Assist in processing notices, orders and action memos.Maintain, organize and file office records and documents.Assist with research and one-off projects (power point presentations, collection of data, etc.).Perform complex data-base searches related to filings (eg, Name Relationship Search Index) and other legal data-base searches (eg, basic Westlaw and/or LEXIS).Maintain chronological/searchable databases of office precedent (ie, comment letters, minutes of meetings and office policy ?significant outcomes? memoranda).Prepare and maintain database monitoring and tracking status (eg, track and/or organize materials using agency automated database/systems, such as word processing software, spreadsheets, computer graphics, presentation software, or database applications)QualificationsMust be able to obtain a government security clearance.Requires Paralegal Certificate and 5 years of experience in the required specialty, such as litigation, document analysis, or accounting. An equivalent level of legal training may be substituted for the Paralegal Certificate, however there is no substitute for the requirement for 5 years of experience in a required specialty.For litigation specialty 1 year of experience in trial support, cite checking legal motions and memoranda, and automated litigation support is required.?For litigation specialty experience in trial support, cite checking legal motions and memoranda, and automated litigation support is required. Must have and use excellent oral and written communications skills.Requires thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS/NEXIS, CLEAR, Westlaw, Concordance or Recommind; experience documenting Table of Authorities, and Table of Contents. Role also requires knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources. Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important. Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office 2010 or newer programs, and Adobe Professional, or newer program, to include redacting and redlining expertise.In addition, must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging.PAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
