Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldSenior ParalegalConduct factual and legal research and provide written analyses to address issues pertaining to the Section?s rule making, coordination, or technical assistance responsibilities. ?Performs complex legal research; synopsizes transcripts of hearings and oral arguments for attorney use; reviews case related materials and identifies potentially conflicting statements or areas requiring further investigation; writes preliminary drafts of legal memoranda and correspondence. ?Some positions may need to be familiar Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act of 2008.Some positions may be the primary point of contact to receive, track, respond to, and document complaint calls and emails regarding sexual harassment in the housing context. Pleasant phone manner and the ability to interview potentially aggrieved persons about traumatic experiences in a professional, thorough, and sensitive manner is critical. ?Candidate must be able to perform detailed searches of court records and other public records utilizing online databases and services such as LexisNexis. ?QualificationsMust be able to obtain a government security clearance.This position places a premium on the ability to write well. ?In applying the facts to the legal analysis, the writing must be logical, persuasive and sufficiently thorough so as to leave the reader with the firm feeling that the correct decision has been reached. ?Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures and legal resources. ?Requires excellent writing skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as Lexis, Westlaw. ?Travel may be required.Familiarity with methods for researching people, property ownership, and/or business entities is preferable.Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important. ?Previous experience working with federal civil rights statutes. ?JD strongly preferred. ?Will consider candidate's with extensive litigation support experience coupled with Paralegal certificate. ?Considering candidate's with current Public Trust clearance.PAE is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
