Hexagon US Federal is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team to design and test advanced LiDAR instruments for atmospheric studies and Earth mapping applications. If you are interested in challenging, state-of-the-art designs and cutting edge technology with commercial and government applications this is the right place for you. The Electrical Design Engineer must be comfortable working with analog and digital electronics as well as electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters. Tasks will include electronics design along with prototyping, testing, and generating drawings, specifications, and test procedures. Job RequirementsBachelor's degree or higher in Electrical EngineeringAt least 5-10 years of professional experienceStrong background in digital circuit design, debug, and testExperience with analog circuit designStrong FPGA design experience with Xilinx & Microsemi/Actel devices using VHDLExperience with schematic capture and PCB Design with Altium Designer toolsetExperience with circuit simulation, worst case circuit analysis, and electrical stress analysisExperience with PCIExpress, Gigabit Ethernet, and other high-speed interfacesAirborne and space-flight design work experienceHands on experience generating schematics and PCB layout/designAbility to troubleshoot and debug circuit boards and sub-assemblies Ability to work well within a team environmentSelf-motivated with a strong desire to learnStrong organizational and communication skillsUS Citizenship
