Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldSenior ParalegalProvide technical assistance to attorneys using automated case management systems and maintain recordkeeping systems for tracking the progress of investigations and cases.?Use electronic databases and other electronic means to perform litigation-support tasks, including reviewing, organizing, indexing, tagging, and summarizing documents, files, and other materials.? Conduct database searches for documents and information.Review and analyze documents, transcripts, files, and other materials for responsiveness and to locate information and evidence relevant to investigative actions or responsive to requests for production, interrogatories, requests for admissions, and other discovery requests.Interface with the Branch?s Automated Litigation Support Lab to coordinate the uploading and production of data and to relay instructions for prioritizing and formatting data processes.?Identify privileged documents and review and prepare privilege logs.Prepare and revise various legal documents and filings, memoranda, reports, requests, correspondence, and technical research documents.File court documents electronically and at the courthouse.Assist attorneys in preparing for, and conducting, interviews with investigative sources, expert witnesses, and prospective fact witnesses.Make necessary logistical arrangements for witnesses during trials and ensure that pre-trial filings, exhibits, electronic presentation software, trial notebooks, etc., are prepared and ready for trial.Load and run trial exhibit presentations during trial.Familiarity with federal criminal investigations and prosecutorial litigation is highly desirable.QualificationsMust be able to obtain a security clearance.Requires paralegal certificate.? An equivalent level of legal training may be substituted with the approval of the COR.? At least two years of litigation paralegal experience required; trial experience very helpful.? At least one year of experience in automated litigation support.? Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court system, legal research procedures, and legal research resources.? Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.? Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, imaging, and hardware systems.? ?Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of e-discovery procedures and resources. ?Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important.?
