WHO YOU ARE: The Human Resources Associate is responsible for entering and managing data in the HR information system (HRIS), managing benefits administration, creating and maintaining analytical data, as well as monitoring and updating Truth Initiative's intranet page (the Insider). The Human Resources Associate will also support the expertise center by providing data in support of Human Resources initiatives as well as overall management of compliance reporting. THE DAY-TO-DAY STUFF: Manages and enters data into the HRIS, ADP Workforce Now, by ensuring database accurately reflects personnel actions: new hires, terminations, status changes, reallocations, transfers, etc. Coordinate information with Finance and Accounting team for payroll processing. Manages HR data analysis on hiring rates, turnover, and other data points as directed by the Managing Director. Maintains HRIS system and vendor portals to process all benefits including benefit enrollments, terminations, dependent changes, address changes and legally mandated benefit data. Conducts benefits orientation and training activities for new hires, managers, related to qualifying events, open enrollment, etc. Plans and coordinates benefits events with vendors and administrative services. Creates and updates benefits communication materials. Processes payments for all benefit invoices ensuring accuracy and timely premium payments verifying participants are added and removed as required. Prepares benefits related reports and spreadsheets related to contributions and enrollments and assists with annual reporting and audits including 401(k) compliance testing and annual plan audit. Coordinates leave of absence and disability claims including providing policy information to staff members, communicating with managers, providing timely pay updates to our payroll team and monitoring cases. Maintains changes in staff benefit information (ie entering qualifying events, change in address, enrollments and terminations, census data and compliance reporting). Serves as point of contact for staff questions regarding benefit issues. Researches issues and works with vendors to ensure resolution of issues. Coordinates and maintains legal compliance reporting (EEOC, OSHA, AAP, VETS-4212, etc.). QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. 3 to 5 years of experience performing similar duties and responsibilities. Experience should include benefits administration, compliance reporting, as well as data management, reporting and analysis. Must be adept to learning and proficient in using office technology platforms such as Office 365 (experience with SharePoint is a plus) and HRIS platforms (experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred). Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and must be able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality, diplomacy and good judgement at all times. Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage several tasks as well as be able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
