Parra Consulting Group, Inc. is currently seeking a Field Service Engineer to support our government client in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland. The candidate will perform a variety of moderately complex software and/or hardware engineering activities of an analysis, design, or test nature. Participates on project teams and provides guidance to less experienced engineers and technical staff. Plans, conducts, and may supervise research, development, or installation of products and systems in conformance with engineering design and customer specification. Engineering activities support both domestic and international products/services at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Conduct maintenance and technical training of Vigilant Pursuit system to soldiers and technicians. Create and submit daily and weekly status reports. Coordinate use of resources to cover all events and missions. Attend meetings with the client as required. Performs analysis, testing and debugging of computer hardware, software, infrastructure, and GOTS/COTS product hardware with the ongoing guidance and direction from more experienced engineers. Performs installation, operation, and maintenance for COTS and GOTS systems. Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications. Conducts routine maintenance checks of systems. Primarily responsible for maintaining intelligence computers and networks used by Military Intelligence Soldiers. Test and repair communications equipment. Assess data from fixed, portable and wireless storage/communication devices. Perform operational checks on military intelligence systems. Works independently preparing and maintaining complex systems, programming and operations documentation, procedures and methods. Qualifications Required: Active TS/SCI. AS/AA or 2yr Tech School and 3 years of experience in maintaining Military Intelligence Systems. HS/GED and 8 years' experience in maintaining Military Intelligence Systems. Proficient in cable fabrication, amplifiers, environmental control units, and power supplies. Experience in Engineering technician skills such as soldering skills, general troubleshooting of complex system of systems, cable fabrication and repair. Experience with Windows OS; proficiency in CISCO router configurations and troubleshooting, experience working with and troubleshooting Trojan SATCOM networks. Experience in interpreting mechanical, electrical, cable, and interconnect drawings. Excellent communication skills to effectively interface with internal and external customers. Must be self- motivated, creative, willing to work as a member of a team, organized and able to manage individual schedule. Qualifications Preferred, Not Required: Familiarity within HUMINT & SIGINT Disciplines. Training in the following Army MOS: 35T or its service branch equivalent. Certification in the following: A+, Net+, or Sec+ Assist in preparing and maintaining operations documentation, user guides and manuals and technical publications.
