About the Position The Junior SEO Consultant will provide support for Knucklepuck's SEO clients. The Junior SEO Consultant will report to the Director of Marketing but will also take direction from the lead Project Manager for each of their 3-6 assigned accounts. Although extensive training will be provided, the Junior SEO Consultant must be independent, self-motivated, and able to interact directly with clients in a professional manner. The Junior SEO Consultant must be able to take direction and cultivate strong professional relationships both externally (with clients, experts, sources, etc.) and internally (with colleagues across departments at all levels within the company). We are looking for a true team player who will be called upon to execute search engine optimization strategies and work internally to coordinate with members of our SEO, Paid Media, Content and Web Development teams. This role will serve an integral part of our SEO team and be afforded significant growth opportunities across the organization As you receive sufficient training in SEO, your primary responsibilities will include: Use an arsenal of on-page, off-page, tech and outreach techniques to perform search engine optimization, including competitive research Perform ongoing keyword research to execute on-page strategies, such as writing content growth opportunity outlines, that support a consistent and consolidated content theme Leverage a combination of tools and manual research to perform competitive research identifying opportunities for pursuing search engine optimization strategies based upon those factors that the search engines are valuing for target queries Write optimized meta data and on-page content that contains target keywords, improves clickthrough rates, and enhances user experience Push SEO updates live on client content platforms such as Wordpress Contribute to internal team discussions, including brainstorms and lectures Track client analytics and creating reports to inform clients of their progress Support SEO Consultants with client tasks including client meetings and assignments. This is a client-facing role It would be great if you have: A track record of leadership roles and experiences Digital agency experience Experience with WordPress and/or website development Familiarity with web analytics (eg Google Analytics) and opportunity analysis tools such as Ahrefs, Moz, SEMRush, Buzzsumo, and Screaming Frog.
