ISI Professional Services (ISI) is currently recruiting for a qualified Payroll and Accounts Receivable Specialist to assist in all activities regarding the management of payroll and accounts receivable in Fairfax, VA. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:Manage compensation packages using payroll software.Collect, compile and enter payroll data using appropriate softwareCollect and verify timekeeping information for all employees and consult with employees on any discrepancies.Process payroll by established deadlines.Monitor, investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors.Prepare payroll reports of earnings, hours worked, taxes, insurance, leave, etc.Update payroll records by entering any adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes, insurance coverage, etc.Work with Finance department to produce required monthly, quarterly and year-end reporting.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and guidelines.Prepare monthly, quarterly and year end-payroll statements.Process accounting receivables and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables' data.Prepare bills receivable, invoices and bank deposits.Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.Verify discrepancies and resolve clients' billing issues.Process credit card payments.Prepare and submit invoices to clients.Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clients.Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.Prepare quarterly IFF reports for payment to GSA.Required Qualifications:Minimum of 3 years experience in supporting payroll/finance department.Hands on experience with payroll/accounting software.Understanding of basic accounting principles and internal controls.Knowledge of federal and statue payroll regulations and requirements.Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records.Experience in a government contracting environment is preferred and experience supporting SCA workforce is highly preferred.Must have experience with MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and/or Access).Strong communication skills and attention to detail are required.Ability to maintain strict levels of confidentiality in handling sensitive information.Flexible, willing to take on more responsibilities as needed, and devote time necessary to meet deadlines.Education Requirements:High School Diploma required, Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field preferredAt ISI, we recognize and value our employees as our greatest asset.
