Job Title: Retail Associate Manager FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Sales Classification: Sales Reports to: Retail Store Manager Supervises: None Position summary: Assists the Retail Store Manager in hiring, supervising, motivating, coaching and developing the store team and is responsible for delivering exceptional sales and service to every T-Mobile customer. Qualifications required: High school diploma with two (2) years of retail experience, or an associate's degree Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Qualifications desired: Consultative sales and sales management experience in a customer-focused and operationally excellent retail environment or in fields involving consumer technology, applications and content Employee management experience Operational and financial performance management skills especially in profit and loss management Essential functions and responsibilities: Partners with the Retail Store Manager (RSM) to recruit, supervise, develop, motivate and manage a high-performing team Performs and provides consultative selling and service on the sales floor during retail hours which includes evenings and weekends Keeps abreast of the rapidly evolving T-Mobile standards and technology Assists the RSM in ensuring that the store remains audit-compliant based on T-Mobile and Verge Mobile standards Assists the RSM in ensuring effective and efficient store operations Assists the RSM in implementing the company's processes and procedures Must be available to meet the needs of retail business hours Nonessential functions: Performs other related duties as assigned Success factors/job competencies: Achievement Focus Adaptability Business Acumen Business Ethics Consultative Selling Dependability Managing Customer Focus Managing People Recruitment and Staffing Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
