Qualified persons should apply at: https://advancedtechnologyandresearchcorporation.applytojob.com/apply PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The successful applicant will join ATR's Engineering and Systems Division, working at client site as a member of a team of engineers to support test and evaluation (T&E), and data acquisition and analysis for Acoustics Technology Division. Other duties include, but not limited to: Perform vibration and fatigue analysis for Navy ships and submarine systems Perform acoustic data processing and analysis including airborne noise Perform modeling analysis to accurately simulate acoustic behavior of ship systems Develop MATLAB programming or routine to support analysis capabilities Prepare technical report EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Advanced degree strongly preferred 2-3 years' experience desired Job experience with the Navy or other DoD laboratories is a plus SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: Understanding of acoustics signatures Knowledge in test and evaluation process Knowledge in data acquisition process Ability to analyze and evaluate the acoustic behavior of Navy ships Ability to produce reports and presentations, and to present findings to various groups OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Candidate must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or favorable adjudication of a national security background investigation. Current successful background investigation completion is a plus. Able to travel, ride on ships in supporting field measurements
