BlackHorse Solutions, Inc. is seeking an HR Generalist to join its team in Herndon VA! Under the supervision of the HR Director, the HR Generalist will serve as the point of contact for HR support and handle day-to-day operations. The successful candidate will be a proactive, positive, and detail orientated individual.Primary Responsibilities:Provide excellent customer service support to internal customers; establish and maintain strong collaborative relationships with management and employees.Manage the new employee onboarding process to include new employee orientation, communications, and benefits enrollment.Work closely with recruiter to create job requisitions, monitor applicant flow, develop offers and manage the handoff from recruiting to onboarding. Create and update employee records within the Human Capital Management (HCM) system.Assist with the performance management program to include period and annual reviews, as well as the merit planning process.Manage the company intern program, including attending career fairs, engaging regularly with candidates and selected interns, organizing intern onboarding, coordinating summer events for interns, and continuing communications after interns have returned to school.Administration of benefits to include, point of contact for employees; process benefit enrollments, terminations, changes, 401(k) rollovers, distributions, and maintenance of employee benefits files and records.Assist with compliance in accordance with applicable government regulations such as ACA, ADA, EEO, ERISA, FLSA, HIPAA, FMLA, OSHA, and Title VII, as well as Company policies and procedures.Assist with completion of required filings/testing and notices.Assist with drafting Company communication for HR related matters.Provide support to the Director of HR and employee population regarding employee relations concerns, projects/programs as assigned.Qualifications:Education Requirement: Minimum High School Diploma; four-year degree preferredYears of Experience Requirement: 2-5 years' experience performing Human Resource responsibilities, preferably in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, performance management, benefits, and HR systems (or applicable experience plus education equivalent).PHR and/or SHRM-CP Certification is preferred.General knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing employment and benefits administration.Previous experience working in the government contracting industry.Proficient in MS Office products and HR systems (Paylocity knowledge is a plus).Skilled in creating and manipulating reports (using MS Excel).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Trustworthy and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.Secret clearance is a plus but not required.
