Seeking a business analyst with strong functional and technical requirements gathering skills. This analyst will support the project manager and other IT resources to make sure features align with business requirements and provide a high-quality user experience. Must have excellent communication, organizational skills, and desire to work with new technology. The successful candidate will find themselves working on a challenging selection of projects from deep analytical processing, to web interface design, to mobile solutions, and much more. Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Interact with product owners to obtain and document functional and technical requirements Work with developers to determine a technical approach most appropriate to fulfilling requirements and meeting user needs Analyze existing system documentation to summarize existing system functionality as it relates to the project at hand Support intake of development requests to identify high priority issues Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis [DO1] Analyze business requirements and technical specifications of applications in development to see how they can be developed into testable elements[DO2] May provide support for quality assurance operations or other analysis and present in project meetings Analyze data loads for products and identify impacts to product functionality Additional Responsibilities: Additional duties as assigned. The Individual: Innate curiosity about users, processes, and systems. Demonstrated experience as a cross functional Business Analyst performing both requirement analysis and software testing Excellent communication skills, including listening, writing, and speaking. Must demonstrate the ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Effective technical writing skills, including previous experience documenting user requirements and designing software features. Ability to participate in customer-facing group requirement sessions with confidence and conciseness. Highly motivated and dependable team player who is also capable of working independently Creative problem-solver with excellent attention to detail and ability to identify technical risks and dependencies during requirements analysis Skilled at juggling competing priorities and multitasking Qualifications: 3+ years of previous experience in software development business analysis required Bachelor's in computer science, project management, business analysis or other applicable degree preferred Demonstrated experience in backlog grooming, User Story development and prioritization Experience with requirements and test management tools to support Agile development activities (Atlassian JIRA & Confluence preferred) Basic knowledge of SQL required Simplify Compliance is an Equal Opportunity employer.
