Overview Directs and performs information systems engineering analysis for testing, assessing, evaluating, integrating, and enforcing requirements of cyber security/IA products and tools to coordinate assessment and acquisition. Duties include assessment and evaluation of system architectures, vendor descriptions and technical application guides; interfacing with testing laboratories; and reviewing solutions to ensure compliance with existing and emerging policies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: * Preparing briefings and position papers for the Defense Security Accreditation Working Group (DSAWG) on how cross domain solutions are implemented within the Army. * Reviewing DoD and Joint staff policy and procedures for use of Cross Domain solutions and support enforcement of the requirements, and inclusion of the products into the Army's Cyber security/IA architecture and IA into systems that are part of the Army portfolio. * Providing expertise in analyzing proposed cross-domain solutions on C&A packages that are being reviewed for a Certification Authority recommendation. * Reviewing at least 25 proposed cross domain solutions per year Qualifications: Knowledge of the entire spectrum of Cyber security tools and processes, including intrusion detection, intrusion prevention, eradication tools and procedures, cross-domain solutions, multiple level security solutions, and wireless personal electronic device. Perform analyses of systems, programs, or planning activities, including the development of technical documentation and analyses of policies, procedures, and IA- and Cyber-related programs and initiatives. Support the design, development, and coordination of relationships and solutions to resolve problems in the specialty area, leveraging analytical expertise and knowledge of advanced theory and current practices in Cyber security. Provide technical support to the Army in transitioning to and complying with the DoD and national-level policies. Assess Cyber security and IA needs and reporting, including managing and organizing data sufficiently to report proposed actionable changes. Provide technical support to the Army in the incorporation of policy into appropriate regulations, pamphlets, and technical support to the government in drafting, reviewing, revising, and delivering Cyber security and IA policy documents to the Cyber security directorate and in responding to DA staff, Army Command (AC), ASCC, DRU, PEO, and field units' queries regarding Cyber security and IA policy. Analyze proposed policies and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) in support of the Army's defense-in-depth strategy, the DoD Global Information Grid (GIG) vision, and information, assessing relevance to policy or standards and identify and relate technical and procedural recommendations. Gather and collect information assurance data, including intrusions and incidents across the Army and the DoD, as required to formulate and implement Army Cyber security and IA policy. At least 1 of the following DoD 8570 level II IAT Certificates: A+ Network+ Systems Security Certified Practioner (SSCP) Global IA Certification (GIAC) GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC) Security+ Security Certified Network Professional (SCNP)
