Built on a strong foundation of excellent medical care and compassion, Saint Agnes and the physicians who practice here are committed to providing the best care for our patients for many years to come.What You Will Do As an Associate with St. Agnes Healthcare-MD, you will have the opportunity toSupervises the daily activities of assigned Respiratory Therapy staff and/or other specialties.Responsibilities:Determines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and staffing levels.Provides leadership, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to departmental clinicians. Assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.Coordinates patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.Participates in multidisciplinary meetings/committees/projects addressing issues related to educational initiatives, evidence based care, conflict resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services/systems, and performance measures.Other duties as assigned.Facilitates patient care delivery throughout Saint Agnes in collaboration with departmental management, physicians, nursing, and other disciplines. Represents departmental concerns when attending hospital meetings or representing the departmental in any capacity. Provides opportunities for mentoring and counseling that foster development and empowerment of staff.Conducts ABG analysis. Ensures that all specimens are run in a timely manner. Troubleshoots and works in the blood gas lab when necessary.What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration:Required Credential(s): Certified BLS Provider specializing in Health Service Provider credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Or military CPR-First Aid training.Certified Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. Registered Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education:Some College - 1 Year Required: Graduate of AMA accredited program in Respiratory Therapy In lieu of the education requirement, 10 years of recent clinical experience in an acute care setting with three years experience of supervisory experience in a clinical setting Preferred: BS DegreeWork Experience:Required: Three years of experience in all clinical specialties.
