We are looking for a dynamic, dedicated and professional Service Technician to join our Columbia MD team! We are looking for an organized, ethical professional that can work well on a team and put our clients first. Our Service Technicians duties will include:provide customers scheduled preventative maintenance (PMI)Provide service to customers who do not have service contractstroubleshooting via phone and when needed, troubleshoot on the customer siteWork closely with our Manufacturing partners to diagnose issues and arrange for repairs when neededAssist with field commissioning and testing on new installationsCandidates must be knowledgeable in all aspects of professional audiovisual installations including installation of AV gear, cabling and terminations and safety standards. Must be able to read and understand drawings and signal flow. Candidate must be comfortable uploading firmware updates and control code provided by our programmers.Responsibilities include:Assures that all installation and service work and associated testing required are performed to the latest specifications. Expert at diagnosing issues whether with equipment or wiring.Ability to readjust and reinstall repaired or replaced equipmentCandidates should have experience and knowledge in the following:Installation and configuration of high-end audio, video, network, automation systems (Lutron, AMX, Crestron, Qsys, Extron, Biamp or other common control systems)Strong understanding of signal flow and control systems for distributed audio and videoFundamentals of Sound MixingUsing hand and power tools associated with AV installationsTerminating various cable type and connectors - coaxial, ethernet, BNC, RJ45, DB9 etc.Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problem installations at both system and component levelsKnowledge of construction techniques and wiring methods Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams and blueprintsExcellent written, verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitaskStrong emphasis on customer serviceComfortable dealing with ambiguityJob Requirements:QualificationsAt least three (3) years of previous work experience within the pro AV integration industryAbility to multi taskDeadline and detail orientedStrong organizational skillsStrong leadership qualitiesMust have reliable transportation to and from workMust have personal hand tools Must be able to accurately keep track of time and materials following company standardsMust be able to lift 50 lbsMust be able to perform work using 6'-12' ladders.All candidates are subject to a complete background check.
