Why You Want To Work Here: We are searching for a team-first and detail-oriented Junior Staff Accountant to work directly with our Accounting Manager at our corporate headquarters in Arlington. This individual will be part of our accounting team responsible for the General Ledger, A/P, Billings, Payroll, and the maintenance of our accounting software. Responsibilities of the Junior Staff Accountant: * Accurate and timely entering of accounts payable invoices * Accurate and timely entering of expense reports * Accurate and timely generation of ACH vouchers * Accurate and timely generation of manual check vouchers * Communicate with employees and vendors regarding any invoice or payment issues * Assisting with the day-today, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting/ Finance Department including audits, budget reviews, and analysis * Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including bank statements, fixed assets, employer's benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses * Assist with filing, file maintenance, and other administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications of the Junior Staff Accountant: * Bachelor's degree - Accounting, Finance, or Business * Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives * 1-2 years of relevant accounting experience, OR strong internship experience * Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and resolutions * Strong understanding of accounting theory * Highly detail-oriented, accurate, and organized in work * Ability to meet assigned deadlines * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus
