Assistant Manager - DogtopiaAssistant Managers must meet the following requirements, demonstrate active and symbolic leadership as well as outstanding customer service both internally and externally. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Front Desk Duties to Include: maintaining an effective daily room schedule, maintaining a clean and organized work environment at the front desk, preparing the lobby and boutique areas for customers in a fresh and inviting way, and maintaining daily documents such as feeding and medication listsProficiency in all tasks of the Shift Leader position, and demonstrated willingness to act as a shift leader when necessary.Maintains confidentiality in Dogtopia practices and all aspects of the businessResponsible for all uses of Kennel Connection, to include overseeing and maintaining quality control for all of the followingChecking in and out of daycare dogs, checking appropriate spa services for departure, stamping passes correctly in the am Noting which dogs owe for the dayChecking in a boarding dog, confirming out date and pick up time, spa services, emergency contact, feeding instructions, any medications required, noting every belonging brought and labeling everything accordinglyCreating invoices for daycare and boarding dogs correctlyCompleting payment transactions both cash and creditCreating daycare passes and adding them to pet profileConducts evening closing procedures including transaction totals and balancing the cash drawerEstablishes customer service standard for the team and builds positive relationships with regular customersEffectively communicates health and behavior concerns with customers in a professional manner. Handles customer issues promptly and personally to ensure satisfaction, escalating to General Manager only when necessary.Utilizes training opportunities for the shift leaders such as dog injuries, billing issues, kennel connection problems, or customer complaintsRegularly exports customer data to Systino. Proactively ensures that all negative reviews are responded to and dollars-at-risk are minimizedActively uses SMART goals to foster an environment of team development to ensure growthPartner with General Manager on maintaining budget control, including payroll, supplies, and expense managementTracks revenue goals and aggressively seeks out ways to increase revenue and profitability. Takes an active role in the marketing of the store, to include attending off-site events and liaising with owners of related local businessesOffers consistent, straightforward, and effective verbal and written feedback to maintain accountability. This includes providing helpful, concise performance reviews to shift leaders and exercising quality control over performance reviews given to playroom attendants.As part of the management team, assistant managers are expected to treat the store as though it is their own, maintaining all aspects of operations to a high professional standard.
