Overview Peraton is seeking a Systems Administrator to support our customer at the Naval Research Lab (NRL) in Washington, DC. The work will encompass day to day systems operations duties implementing, monitoring, fixing information systems and providing support for the organization's local and remote end users. Perform as a member of the IT support team in providing timely and efficient support to assigned operations. Responsibilities What you'll do Perform a wide range of operating system software and hardware support tasks including install, configure, test, troubleshoot, perform ongoing maintenance and enhancement of information technology and information systems Support desktop, laptop and server software, printers and network infrastructure Ensure desktops; laptops; servers and peripheral equipment are appropriately installed, reliable, accountable and installed in accordance with NRL/DON/DoD rules Maintain/Perform active directory administration; account creation and management, and group policy creation in a Windows Server 2012/2016 environment (in accordance with operating system STIG's that will aid in complying with DoD RMF standards) Provides Tier II support; investigates and troubleshoots issues Qualifications You'd be a great fit if Bachelor's degree (or the equivalent) in Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science or another appropriate field with a minimum of five (05) years of experience; eight (08) years of experience is preferred. You have Seven (07) years managing Windows O/S (Window Server 2008/2012 and Linux) resources to include servers, tablets, Smartphone's and workstations; not limited to, Windows Server (2008 and 2012), Windows 7 and Windows 10 You have three (03) years in the following: Installing new/rebuild existing servers and workstations, configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements You have experience providing Tier II support ; investigating and troubleshooting issues You have experience creating, changing, and deleting user account You have experience implementing, attaining and testing operation system DISA Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) You have experience with DoD and DNI information technology directives such as DIACAP and 503 You have a working knowledge of Cisco VPN You have a Working knowledge of VMware; Cloning, snapshots, provisioning and monitoring You are experienced in Active Directory with emphasis on Group Policy Creation and Exchange Server with emphasis on upgrading, updating, and user migration You have Security+ Certification It'd be even better if you Have knowledge of Information Assurance and Information Condition (INFOCON) Have knowledge of secured and hardened mission-critical systems for Comprehensive Network Defense (CND) Security Clearance This position requires the candidate to already possess an active TS/SCI clearance and ability to maintain the clearance.
