Hello,Sr. Field Service Tech needed - California, MD. We have an opening with a great client of ours and we are looking for a Sr. Field Service Tech to work in California, MD. You must be a US Citizen to apply. This is a 6+ month contract with possible extension paying up to $33.12/hr. Secret Clearance Required SR. FIELD SERVICE TECHThis position requires Knowledge to support desktop/laptop, conference IT equipment, and some server and Network gear support. More specifically: Ability to work with contacting and assisting vendors, and supporting other our clients IT teams to troubleshoot Network and wireless issues.Researches, analyzes, and provides hardware/software recommendations, ordering information, and other purchasing information to users to assist in purchasing necessary equipment. Diagnoses and resolves complex end-user hardware/software problems including network, desktop, printer, remote access software, VoIP, mobile devices, MS Office, MS OS (Win XP, Vista, Win 7, WIN 10) etc Performs new computer configuration and coordinates the workstation upgrade/replacement process Participates in the deployment of new software platforms Track user requests for equipment, for information, and problem reporting by opening cases and keeping case histories current and complete Verify with the customer that the problem has been resolved and close case Must be ok with driving a short distance to 2 different sites, Great Mills, MD and Lexington Park from the California MD technology park.SKILLS REQUIREDExperience setting up/configuring DHCP and DNSExperience with McAfeeHardware/software requirements: MS OS; MS XP, Win 7, Win 10 MS Office Suite, MS Server 2003/2008Candidate must work well in a team environmentHave excellent communication skills Candidate must be a self-motivatedHave excellent trouble shooting and analytical skillsExcellent knowledge of computer hardware, software, and terminology Excellent knowledge of computer systems and local area networks Excellent computer skillsExcellent organizational skillsExcellent problem solving skills EXPERIENCE REQUIREDAt least 6 years working in an IT environment (skills Required) either as a Service Desk technician or as a Field Service technician or 3+ years of IT experience with a Associate's degree.
