Overview Peraton is looking to fill a critical role for a Technical Training Specialist. In this role the trainer provides training on Consular computer systems, hardware & software on-site at the National Foreign Affairs Training Center for designated customer and staff members. Position covers a variety of tasks for end users including on-site training and systems support. Responsibilities What you'll do Work with the Program Leadership Team, Senior Trainers, and the Government Client to coordinate, schedule and assist in the training of DOS Consular systems. This will involve direct customer interaction Work independently and within small teams to support various software and systems related tasks Complete and submit all reporting requirements in a timely manner Conduct software training on Consular applications to client end user Conduct technical training on Consular systems deployment procedures to client technical staff Develop, organize and deliver technical training and related materials in support of customer needs Work directly with customer and functional organizations to establish training content and objectives Ensure training material reflects current product features and instruct participants in both classroom lectures and at desk sessions Provides guidance to entry level technicians, if needed Qualifications You'd be a great fit if You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience that can be substituted You have experience developing training documentation (lesson plans, procedures, reports, etc.) Experience in delivering software applications or other technical training to end users in both classroom and one-on-one settings or equivalent You have experience delivering technical systems training to end users You have experience with Microsoft operating systems You have an Active Interim Secret or Secret Clearance Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communications skills, including excellent customer service and self-motivation skills Able to follow defined processes and document any issues/problems clearly It'd be even better if you 2-4 years of relevant experience Ability to deliver training topics effectively to a user base that encompasses widely varied cultures CTT+, Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) and/or Microsoft Certified Learning Consultant (MCLC) certifications, A+ and/or their equivalents Experience with leading small task-oriented teams for projects or customer site training visits Familiar with international travel requirements such as Visa, medical, and passport Department of State experience What you'll get An immediately-vested 401(K) with employer matching Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Tuition assistance, financing, and refinancing Company-paid infertility treatments Cross-training and professional development opportunities Influence major initiatives Security Clearance This position requires the candidate to have an ACTIVE INTERIM OR SECRET Clearance.
