Requirements

The Senior Project Coordinator manages the Center on Education and the Workforce's contracting process, interaction with the University systems, and communications with team leads, senior staff, and the Center's director. S/he acts autonomously to ensure timely completion of multiple contracts following interaction/communication with (from) senior staff, project teams, and the Center's director. The Senior Project Coordinator creates work plans aimed at the continuous improvement of project work flow with the aim of increased efficiency and the extension of the Center's planning horizon. Reporting to the Director of Research at the Center, the Senior Project Coordinator has additional duties that include but are not limited to:

Logistics
  • Develops work flow for all contracting to ensure that all contracts and resources are in place.
  • Works with four team leads, the center's director, and director of research to map out work flow and ensure all contracts and other necessary resources are in place and to then create a synchronized annual projected work flow.


Contracting
  • Initiates, completes, and follows up on contracts with outside vendors and contractors in order to have contracts in place for report production.
  • Acts as a liaison between contractor and project supervisor, confirming that all details are in order.
  • Works with senior staff to procure a variety of items, developing contractual strategies and documents.
  • Researches vendors and expert consultants for recommendation and then solicits quotations and bids.


Scheduling
  • Coordinates and schedules events, travel and meetings for the center's director and other senior staff.
  • Works with senior staff to create report production time lines that fit into the strategic planning.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited U.S. college or university, or certified foreign studies equivalency in business administration or closely related field
  • Five years of experience in an office management or position of organizational responsibilities
  • Spanish language and interest/knowledge of education policy a plus
  • Extensive Microsoft software knowledge is recommended
