The Engineering Technical Lead position will reside within the Application Services group in Technology Services. The candidate will be accountable for the delivery of core IT capabilities within Shared Services and will direct and coordinate the delivery of services from the three Shared Services organizations (Enterprise Architecture & Engineering, Enterprise Service Operations, and Information Security). The candidate will engage with application development teams, business leaders and peers (Shared services aligned leads for SF, MF, ICM & Enterprise) from project inception to implementation. The position will also provide the planning, engineering, and delivery of business scalable infrastructure solutions to meet project timeline and needs while ensuring design compliance and enforcement of Taxonomy / Technology Bricks & Environment Management Standards.

Operations and Technology
  • Leverage and align work to appropriate resources across the team to ensure work is completed in the most

  • Ensure team is operating in the most effective way possible and have the appropriate level of skills and capabilities to be successful
  • Understand what's unique about each team member and know how to capitalize on their strengths and find ways to up skill where gaps exist

Strategy Development and Implementation
  • Provide appropriate level of support within the organization to understand needs and develop a strategy in support of the Infrastructure Operations division's delivery model and feedback from key stakeholder groups
  • Identify and implement best practice methodologies across the environments that support the organization with the highest level of effectiveness and impact by working with vendors and engineering teams
  • Leverage data and testing findings to determine best path forward on operational \\ engineering decisions

Best Practice Research and External Support
  • Keep abreast of best-in-class and current trends in training and development and make recommendations to improve or better align offerings with the goals of the company
  • Identify and manage external vendors to ensure offerings are effective, achieving the desired impact and there is an acceptable cost to value ratio
  • Leverage learning industry trends to foster greater efficiency and deliver innovation and positive learning experiences


  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience and managerial experience in Information Technology
  • BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience with scripting and automation using (Shell, Perl, Python) a plus
  • Experience in designing secure Cloud & Virtualized Environments in multi-tenant environments
  • Experience in championing change and effectively managing project/program implementation
  • Advanced knowledge of technical project management, project implementation, infrastructure engineering
  • Advanced skill in communications and managing teams in a matrix environment
  • Understanding of HA and DR concepts as they apply to Infrastructure Designs
  • Experience with Legacy to Current Infrastructure migrations
  • As an individual contributor, responsible for designing, sizing & scaling infrastructure solutions for Application projects
  • Strong infrastructure engineering skills in one or more areas of Servers, Storage, OS, Middleware, or Networking
  • Experience with the one or more of the following Technologies: Apache/Tomcat, Weblogic, MSSQL, UDB, HP, Cisco - Blade Centers, Linux, Windows, Solaris, AIX - OS, VMAX, VNX - SAN, Netapp, VNX - NAS, Cisco Nexus - Switches
