As an electrical engineer, you understand the power behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to developing the hardware and software required for controls. We're looking for an electrical engineer who can use their skills to design and develop operator interface modules, controls architecture, and other related electronic components. Our team conducts research and development, test and evaluation, prototype development, and deployment sustainment support to client systems. That's why we need you, an electrical engineer with both hardware and software expertise, to help us design and develop innovate solutions and systems. You'll design, test, and analyze electronic equipment to establish operating controls. This is a chance to use your electrical or software development skills while gaining experience in a wide array of other disciplines, including pulsed power, electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering. Join us and take on exciting challenges in the DoD. Analyze the design, development, and modification of complicated and difficult hardware devices and systems. Analyze the technical process or phases of projects and coordinate the efforts of technical support personnel, drafters, technical writers, and electronics technicians, as required. Develop and recommend design approaches for new or improved products and processes. Consolidate the results of hardware design elements for assigned projects. Conduct independent technical investigations involving the origination or modification of material, component, or process specifications and requirements. You Have: -Experience with the design, development, and implementation of analog and digital hardware and software for RF systems -Experience with printed circuit board (PCB) development, schematic and layout capture, board fabrication and assembly companies that build prototype PCBs, and test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, and logic analyzers -Experience with writing software, including MATLAB or Python for controlling, acquiring, processing, and analyzing data from test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers -Experience with developing and testing firmware for field programmable gate array (FPGA), Systems on Chip (SoC), and microcontroller, including PIC -Experience with programming languages, including C, C++, and VHDL or Verilog -Experience with sub-system and circuit-level communications, including CAN bus, Ethernet/IP, RS485, SPI, and I2C -Experience with designing and developing human machine interfaces (HMIs) and graphical user interfaces (GUIs) -Ability to analyze and document the communication strategy between control system elements, analyze hardware and software test plans, and develop simulation tools for sub-system testing -Secret clearance -HS diploma or GED Nice If You Have: -Experience with signal generation, vacuum devices, high powered RF systems, digital or signal processing, bench and system level testing of electronics components for DE systems, and RF system and platform integration -Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and ladder logic -Experience in working with sensors, including electric and magnetic field sensors, hall effect sensors, and temperature sensors -Experience with circuit simulation tools, including Spice -Experience with embedded Linux or real-time operating systems (RTOS) -Knowledge of computer architecture and operating systems -BA or BS degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
