Job Summary:
Westat is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to join the fast-paced collaborative corporate contracts unit.
Job Responsibilities:
· Lead contract management activities for a specific business area, including the administration of federal, commercial and privately funded agreements.
· Work with various teams throughout company to support the life cycle of contract activities, including pre-award reviews and negotiations, leading kick-off meetings, supporting closeouts and audits.
· Review and negotiation of complex contract and subcontract agreements and modifications.
· Provide contractual and business guidance to research and study area staff.
· Lead a team of contract specialists.
Basic Qualifications:
· A bachelor's degree and 10 years of federal contracts administration experience is required.
· Experience reviewing and administering complex contracts and subcontracts is required.
· Experience working in the private professional-services sector is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· A Master's degree in business, law or contracts related discipline.
· Advanced training and certifications.
· Leadership experience.
· Extensive experience administering Health and Human Services contracts.
Candidates must have excellent written and oral communication skills; strong organizational skills; the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; detail-oriented and work well in a team environment.
