Technical Mentor, Software Development (TMSD). Appian Corporation, Reston, VA, seeks TMSD to leverage knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design pat terns to write software in a full-stack web and mobile environment. Leverage soft ware development experience to radiate best practices and faster development. Apply solid technical under standing in product technology layer or area providing effective code reviews and technical feedback. Responsible for professional growth and development of 1-3 junior engineers, providing technical and career leadership. Provide direct 1-on-1 mentoring and coaching to improve their skills in a specific tech nology layer. Develop and guide early career paths of direct reports, provide input to create staffing plans with Tribe leadership, foster a culture of learning and growth, communicate raises and bonuses, performance reviews, etc. Req: MS in Computer Science or Engineering with interest in and aptitude for successful mentorship or in lieu of the employer will accept BS in Computer Science or Engineering + min. 5 years of experience in software development with mentorship exposure.
