Job Summary ABOUT OUR TEAM The Finance HR team is dedicated to enabling the Finance organization through building business capabilities through talent activation, organizational design, and system/process solutions. The Finance team at Marriott leverages change management expertise to strengthen the alignment between business priorities and organizational strategy (structure, processes, systems, talent, change, culture, etc.) in an effort to continuously improve and enhance the function. Through specific expertise in these efforts, we work to ensure Marriott's world class finance professionals are able to optimize human capital investments through a high performing organization. ABOUT THE ROLE As the Manager, Global Finance HR Change Management (CM) you will be responsible for supporting the Global Finance CM team with the creation and execution of change management and deployment strategies for multiple finance initiatives on a global basis. As a member of the Finance HR team, the Manager, Global Finance HR Change Management plays a multi-faceted role supporting change management and communications needs for multiple finance projects. In this capacity, the candidate will deliver in discipline specific initiatives, while partnering closely with the Director, Global Finance HR CM, Finance HR Business Partners, Organizational Capability resources, Finance Communications Lead and the Finance Business Leaders. Primary focus will be to create and implement change management strategies and plans that minimize business risk, shape employee experience, and maximize engagement among key stakeholders. Success in this role includes realizing an accelerated adoption of change and higher proficiency on the changes impacting associates in the organization such that business results are achieved. The role will be responsible for developing and deploying change management activities through practical application of the following: Change management knowledge, technical capabilities, and interpersonal skills Communication strategies, messaging tactics, channels, and tools Learning tools and techniques to not only successfully achieve milestones and objectives of the project, but also to capture the value of the investment This position will require strong project management and organization skills to execute change and communication activities. The position should have a consultative skill set and approach to problem solving, as well as a flexible and collaborative working style. The resource should be comfortable leveraging standard tools and best practices from prior experience to best meet initiative needs. The work requires the individual to be highly adaptable to change, work within tight timelines, and work collaboratively with multiple stakeholder groups. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Contribute Change Management Strategies Contribute to the development and execution of the change management deployment plan based on a change strategy outlined by the CM Director Contribute to the design and development of change management and communication deliverables, including case for change, stakeholder analysis, change impact assessment, communication strategy/plan, leadership action plan, training roadmap, etc. Leverage best in class change management models and methodologies (ie, stakeholder assessments, deployment readiness checklists) to provide consistent processes, tools, and services to stakeholders Implement change management programs that ensure stakeholders are knowledgeable, prepared, and motivated for the changes and have access to resources to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to be successful Provide input to ensure learning programs, training, and support materials are effective Execute Change Management Activities Engage key stakeholders to develop change management methods, tools, and templates for project teams, leveraging change management best practices and lessons learned Create or support creation of deliverables as per change management strategy, communication plan, training strategy, etc., coordinating with business process owners, systems owners and other stakeholders Consult with stakeholders across functional areas to support global pilots and launches Engage and/or coordinate with key partners on change management strategy and activities (ie Communications, Organizational Capability, L&D, and Business teams) for development and execution of deliverables such as job aids, training methods and materials, readiness checklists, adoption success scorecard, etc. Manage change adoption effort and facilitate measurement activities and analysis of results to identify issues and recommend solutions Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and Global Finance leaders Identify and partner with CM Director to mitigate deployment risks, manage escalations, capture feedback, resolve issues, and facilitate cross-group discussions to ensure efficient pilots and launches Inform and/or update executives, peers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner Manage time effectively and conducts activities in an organized manner Present ideas, expectations and information in a concise, organized manner Use problem solving methodology for decision making and follow-up Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by manager Support Human Resources activities, as directed by Global Finance HR leadership CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Finance, Communications, Psychology, Marketing, or related major 4+ years of overall work experience 2+ years of related work experience related to change management, organizational effectiveness/design, and/or HR deployment consulting Experience consulting to business leaders and providing change management support Experience managing the change associated with a complex, global system, process, or organizational deployment Demonstrated success working in a complex, service-intensive and deadline driven environment Strong project management and communications skills Ability to work and influence a wide range of cross-functional teams and leaders within a matrixed organization Ability to develop "client-ready" presentation material and communicate effectively to broad range of stakeholders (including senior leaders and hotel associates) Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word applications Hospitality experience is a plus Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
