Mission Systems Principal Engineer Req #: 219902 Location: Washington, DC US Job Category: Engineering Security Clearance: Secret Clearance Status: Must be Obtainable Job Description CACI is seeking a Multi-Mission Surface Combatant Engineer to support our team in Washington DC What You'll Get to Do: * Provide MMSC variant existing and future C5I (Combat Systems, Command, Control, Communications, Computers & Intelligence) systems engineering and evaluation of systems performance, and recommendations on MMSC integration * Participate in broad array of system concept & design efforts, including engineering reviews of drawings, interfaces, and functional specifications against system requirements. * Participate in science & technology studies, including engineering trade studies, capability / feasibility studies, impact assessments, performance evaluations, and other relevant activities. * Provide timely review of ship planning documents (SPD), interface control documents (ICD), Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Contract Data Requirements List (CRDLs), and other relevant products. * Develop, review, and implement LCS mission systems' test procedures for applicability to MMSC. * Work with the GFE Manager to Identify, coordinate and manage scheduled delivery and risk mitigation for Mission Systems Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) / Government Furnished Information (GFI) as identified by PMS 525 Technical Director (TD). * Participate in (and when directed, act as PMS 525 representative to) Integrated Product Teams (IPT), Technical Interchange Meetings (TIM), Working Groups, Task Forces, and other relevant forums. * Liaise with stakeholders as needed, including: Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF), PMS 501, PMS 505, PMS 420, Navy Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) field activities, In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), Technical Warrant Holders (TWH), Participating Managers (PARMs) Fleet organizations and LCS vendors, including Lockheed Martin (LM) and Planning Yards. * Support timely risk identification, analysis, reporting, and mitigation for MMSC mission systems. * Generate & deliver timely status updates, weekly reports, schedule revisions, engineering reports, briefings, documents, procedures, plans, drawings, white papers, planning documents, and other relevant products as required. * Work cohesively with PMS 525 leadership, internal & external personnel to meet demand signals and work tasks to closure. You'll Bring These Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, and 12 years of experience or Non-degreed with minimum 16 years military experience in Combat Systems and C4I Systems * Experience with Navy Surface Warfare or Aviation Combat Systems and C4I Systems Engineering * Ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance * Self-motivating, proactive professional demeanor * Ability to perform in routine high tempo environment and satisfy quick turnaround deadlines * Ability to balance potentially competing priorities to ensure project success. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: * FMS knowledge and experience * Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Combat System Experience.
